Farewell to Rev. Brown

The Taste of Annandale Planning Committee bids farewell to Rev. Clarence Brown who, as the first chair of the committee, helped organize the first two festivals and contributed much to their success.

Brown has been the senior pastor at Annandale United Methodist Church for the past 10 years. He is leaving that position to take on the leadership of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Yorktown, Va.

“My time in Annandale has been a joy,” says Brown. “I will miss this place very much. I’ve invested a lot of time here and developed deep friendships.” He also expressed gratitude “for my time with the Annandale Roundtable and the things we accomplished, including the Taste of Annandale.”

Rev. Brown recruited church members to volunteer at the Taste of Annandale, got several businesses to participate as sponsors, helped obtain insurance for the festival, and much more.
