Annandale Today is hosting a photo contest at the Taste of Annandale.
The photos must be taken during the Taste of Annandale on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
The event is at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike, with some activities on the playground at the ACCA Child Development Center next door.
Photos can also be taken at the Taste of Annandale K5 in Mason District Park on Sept. 20.
To participate, pick up an entry form and model release form at the Annandale Today booth at the Taste of Annandale. There is no entry fee.
A panel of judges will select the best photos. The winner(s) will receive a gift card.
Rules
- Anyone can enter, including professional photographers and amateurs. There is no age limit.
- An entrant can submit up to five photos.
- Annandale Today reserves the right to publish the photos in Annandale Today, on social media, and in promotional materials in perpetuity. By entering the competition, you grant Annandale Today a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to publish the images for any purpose.
- Photos must be high-quality in landscape mode.
- Photos must be in their original state without removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects. Limited cropping is allowed. Photos with watermarks or date stamps will be disqualified.
- For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must be prepared to provide a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian.
How to enter
- Submit photos in JPG form to: info@annandaletoday.com by Friday, Sept. 26.
- Submissions should include the entrant’s name, address, phone number, and email. Titles, descriptions, and captions are optional.
- Winners will be notified by email in early October.
