Show off your pet at the Taste of Annandale Pet Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The Taste is at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike. The pet contest is scheduled for 3:10 p.m.
The pet contest is hosted by Taste of Annandale sponsor Jamie DeSimone, a realtor with the Homes for All Real Estate Team at Keller Williams Capital Properties.
Register in advance here or at Jamie’s booth at the festival.
The contest has three categories: Best in Show, Funniest, and Best Human/Pet Duo.
The winners will receive $50 gift cards donated by Taste of Annandale vendor Paw Mind Body the Lake Barcroft Dental Group in Barcroft Plaza, and DeSimone.

Dogs must be on leashes and must be well-behaved.
The pet contest isn’t just for dogs, though; cats, guinea pigs, iguanas, or whatever you have can participate, too.
The pets will pose for photos on the fall-themed backdrop donated by Meadows Farms.
