We’ve gotten so many vendors already for the 2025 Taste of Annandale – with another two and a half weeks to go – that we’ve run out of space.
The Taste of Annandale is a free community festival on Sept. 20, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m., at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike in Annandale. There is no charge to attend.
The Annandale-Mason Roundtable appreciates our sponsors whose generosity is making this event possible.
We’re especially grateful for our Platinum-level sponsors: Westminster School, a highly acclaimed independent private school in Annandale for grades K-8, and Juniper Life and Legacy Planning, a law firm in Alexandria that specializes in estate planning.
Our Gold sponsors include Brightview Senior Living – Woodburn, Landmark HHH LLC, Patient First, State Farm agent Anh Nguyen, RAMP Optimal Performance & Wellness, the Annandale Rotary Club, the ACCA Child Development Center, and Annandale Today.
Rounding out the list of our supporters are the Silver Sponsors: Annandale Boys & Girls Club, Chick-fil-A, Realtor Jamie DeSimone – Homes for All Team, Burke & Herbert Bank – Annandale branch, and Mason Supervisor Andres Jimenez.
While there is no more room for vendors, if you want to join the Taste of Annandale as a sponsor, we can squeeze you in.
Here’s what’s planned so far for the event:
Food – Food trucks and other food vendors are offering culinary delights from Thailand, Vietnam, Jamaica, Korea, Latin America, Indonesia, China, and good old American fare like barbecue and funnel cakes.
5K – The Taste of Annandale 5K run will be located entirely at Mason District Park, 6621 Columbia Pike, Annandale. Register here:
The 5K is sponsored by RAMP Optimal Performance & Wellness. Medals will be given out for the fastest overall male and female runners and the fastest runners in several age categories. RAMP will lead warm-ups before the race and is also offering training now to help 5K entrants prepare for the race. Call 571-574-3382 to make an appointment.
Live entertainment – The performance schedule isn’t finalized yet, but the plans call for a lion dance; music and dance groups from Korea, Vietnam, Bolivia, Scotland, and Indonesia; martial arts demonstrations; breakdancers; a rock band; musical theater; and much more.
“Animaldale” – A petting zoo on the lawn area will feature barnyard animal friends from Squeals on Wheels.
Beer sales – Caboose Commons will be the beer vendor this year, offering several popular varieties.
Pet contest – Dress up your furry buddy for the pet parade and costume contest sponsored by local realtor Jamie DeSimone. Sign up in advance or register onsite at Jamie’s booth. There is no charge to participate.
Eating contest – The Annandale-based Asian American Community Center is hosting an eating contest featuring bánh mì Vietnamese sandwiches. It’s all about speed, not quantity; whoever finishes first will win a prize.
Children’s programming – The ACCA Child Development Center is offering a full slate of outdoor activities for children, including performers from Wolf Trap, hands-on STEM activities, crafts, and costumed characters, including the popular Paw Patrol.
Chili cook-off – The Mason Police Station and Annandale Volunteer Fire Department will vie for the “best chili” title. Attendees will vote for their favorite.
Community art project – Community Art for Everyone (CAFE) is planning an art installation created onsite by attendees.
Game zone – The Annandale High School PTSA is hosting a fundraiser for an Atoms mascot costume with games for kids, teens, and adults.
Vendor booths – There will be a wide selection of craft vendors, county agencies, nonprofits, local businesses, advocacy organizations, and politicians.
Other features –
- The Lions Club asks attendees to bring old, unneeded eyeglasses for recycling.
- The Park Authority’s Wonder Wagon will display hands-on nature exhibits.
- There will be a fall-themed backdrop for photos.
- Annandale Today is hosting a photo contest. Details will be announced soon.
The Taste of Annandale was launched in 2013 with the goals of encouraging community engagement, celebrating Annandale’s diversity, and shining a spotlight on local businesses and organizations.
Proceeds from the event will benefit programs for local youths. The 2024 Taste of Annandale provided grants to Boy Scout Troop 150 and the Annandale High School Boosters Club.
