Recycling available at the Taste of Annandale

For the first time ever, the Taste of Annandale will offer recycling.

There will be up to 20 white recycling bins throughout the site to collect plastic water bottles and aluminum cans.

Community activist Jo Doumbia is organizing the recycling effort. As this is the first time recycling will be available at the Taste of Annandale, Doumbia wants to make it simple by limiting this effort to just water bottles and cans.

Since Doumbia could not get any support from Fairfax County for this effort, the Taste of Annandale is picking up the cost of the recycling bins.

If anyone is available to monitor and empty the bins, contact Doumbia at 120411tigre@gmail.com. Students designated as “recycling ambassadors” will earn community service hours.
