Taste of Annandale draws huge crowds

The Taste of Annandale was a huge success, drawing more than 5,500 people to Tom Davis Drive Oct. 13 for food, entertainment, and fun.

About 130 people participated in the Taste of Annandale 5K Race, there were about seven food trucks, a dozen other food vendors, and nearly 50 tables hosted by sponsors, businesses, organizations, and vendors. The performances on the showmobile represented a diverse mix of culture.

Among the highlights: The children’s program attracted loads of families to the ACCA Child Development Center for performances and activities. The beer garden hosted by Audacious Aleworks was full all day.  The pet contest hosted by Chico’s Natural Pet Market drew dozens of dressed-up dogs.

Thank you to everyone who performed, sponsored, ran in the 5K, hosted a booth, volunteered, and showed up.

The crowds were thick at times, it was difficult to walk. If there’s going to be another Taste of Annandale next year, we’ll need more space.
