Lots of fun activities planned for kids

The Taste of Annandale, on April 29, will feature a full schedule of performances and activities for children hosted by the ACCA Child Development Center.

The Child Development Center is at 7200 Columbia Pike, across the street from the main action at the Taste of Annandale on Tom Davis Drive. The CDC will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

CDC Executive Director Maria Isabel Ballivian is planning three children’s performances: a puppet show, a musician, and a science show.

There will be a DJ, storybook readings hosted by the Fairfax County Public Library, a karaoke station, face painting, temporary tattoos, costumed characters, and other activities.

If the weather is nice, children can use the playground and build things with CDC’s giant blue blocks outdoors.

Parents are expected to stay with their children at the CDC.

The CDC also needs volunteers to help handle the crowd. If you would like to help, sign up here.
